EVERYDAY FACE CARE ROUTINE
Hello beautiful people, the intent of coming up with this blog is to aspire people for self-love.
The first step towards self-love is to practice self-care. We are so busy following our daily routine that we forget to take some time for ourselves. How hard is it to take out some time for our own skincare? NO! it's not and is quite simple too by making our daily routine a little more flexible. Many of us are prone to acne, blemishes, pigmentation, pimples, dullness problems nowadays. The dullness is not only visible on our faces but is also reflected in our lifestyles. But, with my best efforts, it won't be an issue anymore for you all. So, Worry less and follow the steps.
1. CLEANSING
So the first important step of skin care is cleansing. Most of us spend our day at work or in travel, the city almost swallows us. When we get back home after a busy long day we completely forget that we also carry pollution and dirt along with us. Our skin also needs attention as it forms a speck of layers of dust and dirt. To remove this dirt layer we should start with cleansing. You can use any effective cleansing cream.
We usually use cotton pads for cleansing but there is a new cleansing tool introduced in the market that helps to exfoliate the skin i.e. Soft Silicon Cleansing Pads which are easily available at online sites like Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart and more.
2. STEAMING
The most effective and the most relaxing in our routine. Steaming not only open pores but also helps in stimulating blood circulation. It helps to remove dirt and blackheads easily. Don't worry if you do not have a steamer at your home you can boil water in any container or any utensil big enough to cover your face. You can add some essential oil too accordingly. Now steam your face with a towel over your head. It will surely make you forget about your long day.
3. EXFOLIATION/SCRUBBING
After face steam, you should exfoliate your face gently with a face scrub. The scrub is more effective after steaming as it removes dirt and blackheads from open pores easily. Scrubbing plays an important role as it sheds dead skin cells too. It should be done very gently and in a circular motion with your fingers. It can cause rashes if hard on the face and therefore it is advised to be gentle on your skin. Scrubbing should not be done on a daily basis. There should be a gap of 2 or 3 days in between.
4. FACE WASH
After all these steps wash your face with cold water. We should use cold water as it slows down the aging process and helps to fill out wrinkles on our face. It also helps to tighten and protect the pores. But the one who has oily skin can use lukewarm water to wash their face as it removes oil from the face. Warm water opens up the pores making it easier to clear out the excess oil. When you finish washing your face, you can splash cold water at last.
5. FACE TONING
It is also an important part of cleansing as it tightens the clogged pores and soothes the skin. A good toner removes the leftover dirt and oil on the face. It also prevents skin from acne. More importantly, toner helps to hydrate and restore its delicate pH balance.
6. MOISTURIZING
After toning, you should apply face serum followed by moisturizer or sunscreen. Serum should be applied first as they are lightweight unlike moisturizers and work on a deeper cellular level on our skin. Moisturizer is a lotion or thick cream which forms a barrier to keep skin hydrated and soft. Serums can be used in the morning and in the night as well after toning. In the morning, we should apply sunscreen after applying serum as sunscreen keeps skin healthy and protects the skin from sun damage, dark spots, sagging, discolorations and wrinkles.
Last but not least you should apply an eye cream and a lip balm to moisturize them too.
